Energy Atlas ("we", "our", or "us") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you choose Sign in with Apple, your Apple-provided user identifier. You may also provide your name.
As you use the app, we store the data you enter: energy ratings, timestamps, tags, notes, activity tags, and flags. We also store your device timezone to present your data correctly.
Your data is stored in a cloud database provided by Supabase (supabase.com), not solely on your device. This means your logs and insights are synced to our servers so they remain available if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
All free-text content — including your notes, custom tags, flags, report text, insights, and profile summary — is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before being sent to the database. The encryption key is managed server-side and cached securely in your device's Keychain. This means the text content of your entries is stored in encrypted form and is not readable in plain text in our database.
Energy Atlas uses the following third-party services, each of which may receive your anonymised or pseudonymous user identifier:
RevenueCat — manages in-app subscriptions and purchase validation. RevenueCat receives your user ID, purchase history, and device information (device model, OS version, locale, and country). See their privacy policy at revenuecat.com.
Superwall — manages in-app paywall presentation. Superwall receives your user ID and subscription status. See their privacy policy at superwall.com.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party and do not use advertising SDKs.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Energy Atlas service. This includes displaying your energy logs, managing your subscription, and — importantly — processing your entries on our servers to generate personalised insights, weekly and daily reports, and an ongoing energy profile. This server-side analysis is what powers the Atlas features of the app.
We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Because your data is stored in the cloud, uninstalling the app does not delete it. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email us at hello@energyatlas.app and we will remove it from our systems within 30 days.
Energy Atlas is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
